What is microblading?
Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is a form of tattooing, manual method which does not use a permanent makeup machine. Pigment is implanted in the basal membrane which divides the epidermis from the Dermis layer of the skin. This technique is therefore more superficial than tattooing. This treatment suits people who ideally have uneven brows, over plucked brows, loss of hair / patchy areas or won’t grow back due to medical reasons such as Alopecia or chemotherapy. The effects can last from 12-24 months (depending on your skin type).
After the first session, it’s very common for the clients body to try to reject the pigment and may experience up to 60-80% rejection. Refreshing the colour is done once in 6 months to a year and a half, depending on skin quality and pigment implantation. Cosmaesthetics provides our clients with free consultations. At this stage any questions clients may have are answered and patch tests are done (for pigment and anaesthetic). Cosmaesthetics also provide an aftercare package once having undergone the treatment.
